 I love TRADITIONS, I love the anticipation of them. Holiday traditions are my favorite! Aren't they comforting? Aren't they special? I am so blessed in my career that I am able to go home for 2 weeks during the holidays. Home is where my parents and little brother are. Since I do not have a family of my own yet, this is where I come "Home for the Holidays." This year I am even more excited because B is coming home with me! I can't wait to have him around and spend this Christmas together.

I am looking forward to the simple things. The little things that are taken for granted. TRADITIONS. Mom and I bake cookies, so far we made these YUMMY Butterscotch + cornflake + peanut butter no bakes. Recipe Here {B's fav by the way.}

I have done lots of wrapping, and I must say... my gifts are pretty cute, I got lots of ideas for cute wrapping on pinterest. Ideas:

As you can see, I'm loving the brown craft paper and all it has to offer. I used twine for ribbon and then added bright Christmas colors and cute gift tags to finish them off. Find free printable gift tags Here

Next I will be working on a couple Christmas crafts. I have 12 days off so now is the time to get busy! I never have time like this to make stuff. On the top of my list is this Burlap Wreath.
Here is the finished product.

Isn't it GORGEOUS!?

In between baking, wrapping, crafting, cooking and shopping I am going to be taking it all in. I'm going to be loving time with mom, dad and little brother oh and did I mention, having my fiance with me?! I'm going to wear cozy slippers everyday, listen to Christmas music, go see some movies, cuddle up on the couch for a good christmas movie, make yummy breakfasts, take naps, take baths, sleep in, run to Target at least 5 times with mom, finsh reading Catching Fire, and just enjoy this wonderful time of year.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas.

New York City & a Ring!

We're Engaged!

That's right, I'm going to have a husband!
The feeling is quite surreal. It's incredible, unbelievable and the best feeling I could imagine. I am marrying my best friend, and the most amazing man in the world. I remember a long time ago, looking at a picture of B and just saying out loud "he's going to be my husband." It's crazy how everything works out. I feel so blessed to have found him. My other half, my absolute LOVE - If I thought I loved him then, ahhh I can't imagine how much this love will grow. There are things in him that I never even knew existed and things I never knew I wanted. He makes me laugh in and instant, makes me melt with his smile, comforts and cuddles me whenever I need it, is my biggest fan and truly completes me.
Being engaged really does FEEL different. It really took us to a different level. Ever since then, I feel something stronger than before. It's hard to explain but it's a promise to each other; he put a ring on it, and I said YES!

We were in NYC for Thanksgiving. The trip was the BEST. Below are some highlights of our week!

this is us

I bugged B and insisted we take some pictures in bed. This is my favorite place. At the end of the day there is no better place than being in our big comfy bed, just cuddling. I love being in his arms, I love feeling safe, content and happy.

MMM. This is what it's all about.

(Blow) Dry Bar.

Dry Bar. So Fun!

So, you may or may not know that I was in San Diego this past weekend for a Bachelorette Party. It was super duper short but we had a great time with the girls. The weekend included home-made by a mom breakfast burritos, relaxing on the deck in sunny San Diego, a trip to the Dry Bar, and a unique grill it yourself dinner.

Some of you may be familiar with the new Dry Bar craze. Simply put this is an adorable salon where you go to get your hair blow dried and styled. No cuts, no color, no treatments. For $35 you get your hair washed, blow dried and styled in a super chic salon. My style of choice was the "Southern Comfort." BIG BIG hair with loose curls. I captured all the things that awed me. The detail and creativity of this place is what did it for me.

This place just exudes girlie, no boy would ever understand nor appreciate a place like this.

4 random things!

{This is just a tiny example of why I love this guy. We always have so much fun together! Photo Booth was a blast!}

We had our annual black tie event for work this past weekend. It was great, the location, the limo that made us feel like we were having prom all over again, the food, the people, the entire night was definitely an A+! I love my coworkers!

I'm off to San Diego for a bachelorette party this weekend. We only have a little over a day but it should be a fun filled weekend! We are staying in a beach house along the boardwalk, perfect spot to people watch!

This place is one of my favs. I love coffee but try not to buy it too often. Usually once a week I will grab my coffee-loving co-worker and head to d'LiSH for a BREAKFAST BUZZ. It is the most incredible blended breakfast/coffee/peanut butter/smoothie shake thing. I might be heading there momentarily.

Last but not least my little home-made FALL sign for our dining room. Have a wonderful weekend!

{Reese's} Pieces of Fall

I have gathered a few fun fall pieces that I wanted to share! I'm thinking about having a little girls night where we can all decorate pumpkins together. A night of good conversation between girlfriends all while gettin crafty! Yes please! I bought these pumpkins with intentions to decorate them using one of the lovely ideas in a previous blog post. But I did take a moment to admire them as-is, nice and simple. I love the look of real pumpkins but they go bad. Lets be honest if I spend hours mod-podging and decorating these babies, you better believe I'll want them to stick around for years to come. Anyway, back to the point, here are a few little fall items that have made their way into my home.

{I found these old milk jugs while in San Fran then had to fill them with the most fall appropriate candy, obviously. YUMMY.}

How cute is this little fall check list?! I fell in love and needed to include it in a post. I printed one for my office as well, it's way too adorable not to share.

Chambray and Reflection

Happy Tuesday!

{Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

Leggings: Target
Boots: Seychelles
Tiny zip pouch: H&M
Lipstick: Revlon, Orange Flip }

I did a little reflecting this past weekend. I had breakfast with a friend, at the most adorable little place in UT. Breakfast was great, and the conversation was so fulfilling. It's funny how everything truly does work out. We both sat there sharing updates on our lives, love lives to be exact. I couldn't help but be so happy, so happy for both of us. I haven't really shared this information in my blog yet and I think now is the time. B and I have been together for about a year and a half. I always had a crazy connection with him. Feelings that were indescribable, feelings never felt before. I loved this man way before we were even together. B is Mormon and I am not. This is a big deal, this I know. Over the past year I have had my moments of worrying about this topic. How? How are we going to make this work? I will get into details another time, but for now all I am going to say is love really does conquer all. Two people can make anything happen, above everything else, trust, faith and love will prevail.
Back to breakfast, if a year ago, I would have seen where we are at now, I would have been so happy, excited and amazed. The past is the best representation of the future and the glimpse I have in my head of the next year is pretty exciting. I'm glad that I can't peek though, because one the most exciting things in life are the surprises.

Pretty Pretty Pumpkins

It's not quite Halloween and pumpkin carving time, but I am loving all these creative pumpkin decorating ideas! I can't wait to try a few of this to go with my Fall decor!

{How cute is this?! Mod Podge your pumpkin!}

{I love all the natural harvest colors of these pumpkins. Super simple but so chic.}

{Another cute idea, I was thinking about using our address number and placing it by the door.}

{You can Mod Podge cute images or even paint by hand!}

{And for the kitchen or centerpiece for the table.}

Just wanted to share these fun ideas for fall! I like carving pumpkins but these bad boys will last longer and are oh-so cute!
