4 random things!

1.
{This is just a tiny example of why I love this guy. We always have so much fun together! Photo Booth was a blast!}

We had our annual black tie event for work this past weekend. It was great, the location, the limo that made us feel like we were having prom all over again, the food, the people, the entire night was definitely an A+! I love my coworkers!

2.
I'm off to San Diego for a bachelorette party this weekend. We only have a little over a day but it should be a fun filled weekend! We are staying in a beach house along the boardwalk, perfect spot to people watch!

This place is one of my favs. I love coffee but try not to buy it too often. Usually once a week I will grab my coffee-loving co-worker and head to d'LiSH for a BREAKFAST BUZZ. It is the most incredible blended breakfast/coffee/peanut butter/smoothie shake thing. I might be heading there momentarily.

4.

Last but not least my little home-made FALL sign for our dining room. Have a wonderful weekend!

{Reese's} Pieces of Fall

I have gathered a few fun fall pieces that I wanted to share! I'm thinking about having a little girls night where we can all decorate pumpkins together. A night of good conversation between girlfriends all while gettin crafty! Yes please! I bought these pumpkins with intentions to decorate them using one of the lovely ideas in a previous blog post. But I did take a moment to admire them as-is, nice and simple. I love the look of real pumpkins but they go bad. Lets be honest if I spend hours mod-podging and decorating these babies, you better believe I'll want them to stick around for years to come. Anyway, back to the point, here are a few little fall items that have made their way into my home.

{I found these old milk jugs while in San Fran then had to fill them with the most fall appropriate candy, obviously. YUMMY.}

How cute is this little fall check list?! I fell in love and needed to include it in a post. I printed one for my office as well, it's way too adorable not to share.

I did a little reflecting this past weekend. I had breakfast with a friend, at the most adorable little place in UT. Breakfast was great, and the conversation was so fulfilling. It's funny how everything truly does work out. We both sat there sharing updates on our lives, love lives to be exact. I couldn't help but be so happy, so happy for both of us. I haven't really shared this information in my blog yet and I think now is the time. B and I have been together for about a year and a half. I always had a crazy connection with him. Feelings that were indescribable, feelings never felt before. I loved this man way before we were even together. B is Mormon and I am not. This is a big deal, this I know. Over the past year I have had my moments of worrying about this topic. How? How are we going to make this work? I will get into details another time, but for now all I am going to say is love really does conquer all. Two people can make anything happen, above everything else, trust, faith and love will prevail.
Back to breakfast, if a year ago, I would have seen where we are at now, I would have been so happy, excited and amazed. The past is the best representation of the future and the glimpse I have in my head of the next year is pretty exciting. I'm glad that I can't peek though, because one the most exciting things in life are the surprises.

Pretty Pretty Pumpkins

It's not quite Halloween and pumpkin carving time, but I am loving all these creative pumpkin decorating ideas! I can't wait to try a few of this to go with my Fall decor!

{How cute is this?! Mod Podge your pumpkin!}

{I love all the natural harvest colors of these pumpkins. Super simple but so chic.}

{Another cute idea, I was thinking about using our address number and placing it by the door.}

{You can Mod Podge cute images or even paint by hand!}

{And for the kitchen or centerpiece for the table.}

Just wanted to share these fun ideas for fall! I like carving pumpkins but these bad boys will last longer and are oh-so cute!

Twenty-Seven Candles

That's right, the big 2-7! It's birthday week for this girl! It's been a whirlwind so far...and nothing short of amazing.

B and I went to Vegas for Labor Day weekend and got some much needed family time with my parents and little brother. The weekend had all the perfect ingredients, relaxation, watching football, shopping with mom, a barbecue, a trip to the lake and a visit to see B's sister and her family! The weekends are just too short when you are having fun. My parents are incredible. I hate the goodbye part, no matter how old you are, it's still hard.

{With Dad}

After getting back home and situated, Tuesday night we did a b-day dinner with my closest friends. Again, just what I wanted, good food, friends, conversation, and of course cake. Last night was my night with B, just us. It was wonderful. Simple and perfect. Thoughtful doesn't even do him justice. The man is incredible. Every little detail I tell you, he makes me feel special, adored and so incredibly loved. He likes funny stupid cards, I love mushy "grandma" cards, what does he get me? You know it, bring on the mush. I love him with all my heart.

{With B}

Tonight I am heading to San Francisco for a little girls trip. I'm so excited to see the city. The agenda: Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, Napa, hiking in the Redwood Forest, shopping etc.

I love birthdays because I love making people feel good. Birthday's are the one time of year that you can really make someone feel special. This year I feel very special. All the people that surround me are incredible. My roommate and best friend leaving flowers and a super yummy smelling house when I came home to my great coworkers baking and bringing in flowers and balloons, they all are so sweet. The gifts, the material things received are not the point, the point is that each person around me is so thoughtful. I am who I am because of these people around me. Thank you to all the wonderful people in my life, I am oh so lucky to have you all. I appreciate and cherish you more that you'll ever know.

 I'm so happy I have this little blog to remind me of all the memories I've had...and all the ones in the year ahead!
Welcome 27, I'm ready for you!

Ode to Arizona

I'm a native Phoenician. It's somewhat rare to be born and raised in Arizona. Most people come out to AZ from the east coast, they say it's for the warmer weather. I wanted to show some appreciation for my great state, turquoise and all. Although I complain about the heat, and boy is it hot right now, at the end of the day - I love it.  I love being warm, I love waking up to sunshine and feeling it on my back, and I love the dry heat. I have a feeling that my future will lead me to colder weather, so here's to you Arizona, and the beautiful desert that you are.
