Maxi love for the summer + a double giveaway!

Today I have teamed up with Alycia who has an adorable blog which you can visit here, she also has a super cute Etsy shop (where she sells dream catchers)  here and if you love a good instagram feed, you can check out tidbits of her dreamy California life @alyciamealy!
It's crazy how you can meet and like someone just from instagram, I honestly don't know who found who between us but here we are doing this little collaboration since we both share a love for maxi skirts! We thought it would be fun to style a couple maxi skirts for summer, both super simple to recreate but Alycia's has a little Bohemian flare (which I love)! One of my favorite things about blogging is getting style ideas from other bloggers, the inspiration is what I go for, recreating looks I love with my own touch in my own closet.
Since we both have blogs we wanted to intruduce our readers to eachother, I hope if you are reading this you also head on over to her blog to say hello or if you are here from Alycia's blog, I am so happy to have you!
One more thing, we are giving away some ad space on our blogs! There will be 2 winners one for each blog and it's a large size ad! I will be drawing the 2 winners next Wednesday so you have a week to enter!

Let me just briefly start out by saying if you have not tried this before, I am warning you now - It's addicting and it's hard to stop eating it! My mom absolutely loved it and lets say it was gone fast! Ok here is what you need and the steps to make it! It's SUPER simple and definitely a crowd favorite!!!

Empty puffcorn onto a large baking sheet preferabbly with edges. Then, melt butter, corn syrup, and brown sugar in a medium saucepan. Stir until melted and bubbbling, continue stirring for 2 minutes. Add baking soda (mixture will start to foam up and rise) once this happens, pour over the puffcorn. Mix the puffcorn and stir so all the puffcorn is covered in the caramel mixture. Place in the oven on 250 for 45 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes, let cool and enjoy!

Here are my pictures showing the steps! I hope you guys enjoy!

Here are some highlights from our little camping trip! B and I have been wanting to go camping for so long now and I'm glad we finally made it happen. Last weekennd we drove up to Trial Like (it's about an hour and a half past Salt Lake) and it was absolutely gorgeous! As you'll see, the lake is so beautiful and the tress, ahhh gorgeous! The boys went up Friday and had a day full of shenanigans and fishing, us girls joined them on Saturday, we figured a full 24 hours was a good amount of time for us to rough it. Ha! So we arrived up there around noon and hung out by the lake, went for canoe rides and just enjoyed some down time. Later that night we made dinner and got about an hour of campfire time until it started pouring on us! Yep definitely started around 8pm and we kinda just huddled under a shade thing we brought then after about an hour of the rain not letting up, we decided to head to our tents and wait it out. Next thing we knew it was like 10pm and still pouring so needless to say, our night of campfire talking and smores was shot.
So that was that and we went to bed, BUMMER right?! Ahh well the next morning we woke up and started a new fire, warmed up and toasted marsmallows and bagels for breakfast. Ok not together, we ate them seperate but at least we got to have some marshmallows!
Overall the trip was fun and I'm glad we went, however it's a lot of work! Geez, I have a whole new respect for my parents, then took us camping all the time and its just a lot for a weekend trip! Eeeks!
Oh gosh, I almost forgot one HUGE part of the trip! My excellent fisherman husband caught ONE fish, yes that is correct, ONE! How big you ask?! A whoppin 10 inches! Haha at least he caught one becuase honestly I would not have heard the end of it if he didnt catch any!
I hope you all had a great 4th of July weekend!

FEED at Target!

Happy Monday!

So, I don't know if you are currently a follower of targetdoesitagain on instagram, if you aren't a followER, go follow these two girls now! They are a team of two ladies who post new items at Target, everything from clothing, to home decor to baby stuff etc. I have a hard enough time not spending $50 -$100 everytime I'm at Target as it is so it dangerous for me to constantly see updates on targetdoesitagain.
However, I still follow becuase I love knowing whats new to Target. Anyway, today's post is on a new line that just came into Target yesterday called FEED. The main concept is to FEED people in the US, each item that you purchase has a tag on it that signifies how many meals were provived for each family with the purchase. I love this idea and concept.

I just realized that it was created by Lauren Bush, right away I thought, any relation to George? Yep! She's actually his neice! I went over to Target first thing yesterday to scope it out, here are some of the items avaiable:

ABOVE, is the tote I purchased. It was my favorite and I always needs totes to put things in!

Here is a litte more info on FEED:

Founded in 2006 by Lauren Bush Lauren, FEED is a globally-focused company whose product sales provide meals for hungry children and families around the globe. Now the organization is looking at the domestic face of hunger as it launches FEED USA in partnership with Target with a lifestyle line of over 50 items. The proceeds will benefit Feeding America, a hunger relief organization.
Products range from aprons and bakeware to shirts, bags and even bicycles. Of the casual classics, Lauren says, “I wanted it to reflect a modern Americana. It’s really fun, summery back-to-school essentials, done in a way that’s not overly designed.”
The former model founded FEED with one burlap bag she designed after traveling with the World Food Programme while she was a student. Since then, FEED has provided close to 60 million meals to children in need around the globe.
In anticipation of the Target partnership, Lauren took a road trip across the country to get a grasp on the issue of hunger in America, volunteering at community food banks, soup kitchens and schools. “When you’re able to travel and interact with people, really sit down and hear about their struggles and why it is hard for them to pay for food, you can’t help but want to do something. I truly do believe that food is a human right, and the fact that it’s not a given for everyone is really why I started FEED.”
The 29-year-old Bush acknowledges that her famous family—she’s the niece of George W. Bush and granddaughter of George H.W. Bush—instilled a sense of charity in her: “In my family, public service was always something we talked about. Even when I was young, my mom started a nonprofit that helped homeless and abused children, and my dad is also very philanthropic. I do give them both a lot of credit for what I’m doing now. But I’m really happy that I’ve found my own way in it.”
Target has a long history of successful designer collaborations. The Minneapolis-based retail behemoth is also well-known for its charitable efforts—giving 5% of its profits away to communities—making them an ideal partner for FEED. Lauren points to the broad reach of the retailer, saying, “I wanted all of America to be able to help and get involved.” The line launches in Target stores nationwide on June 30.
